How to avoid trolls, Nazis, fascists and abusers online.
Here are some list of useful tools to block trolls and bots online.
Twitter Block Chain
Twitter Block Chain is another recommended tool, especially if the troll you're blocking has followers who are either all trolls and fakes or mostly followers and fakes. All you need to do is go over to the troll's follower list and click "run block chain" on it, after downloading the free extension from the chrome extension store. NOTE: You cannot do this if the troll has blocked you. Also, this extension is only available on google chrome.
Bot Sentinel
Bot sentinel is a useful tool if you want to determine whether an account is trustworthy or a trollbot. It also detects how bot like an account is. It comes at 4 different levels: Normal, Moderate, Problematic and Alarming. The higher your score, the more bot like patterns you have. Like the above, this tool is useful when you determine who to block.
Secateur
Secateur is a useful tool if you want to block and/or mute a twitter account and all of it's followers. Although similar to the Twitter block chain, it also has options for how long you want to block or mute the trolls and their followers for. It also has a page in which you can tell secateur not to block a certain follower of a troll. However, due to the popularity of the app, unfortunately the owner has decided to limit the number of people you can block at a time. But if you are being harassed, you can contact the app's owner here.
Twitter ID and username converter
Twitter ID and username converter is an extremely useful tool in many ways. First of all, when posting an account out for report, it really does help to have a Twitter ID for the account that you want to report - in the event that an account changes it's userhandle for whatever reason, especially to evade being reported. It also helps in case you are stalked or harassed by a particular person on Twitter, regardless of the nature of the stalking, harassment or abuse, or how many accounts the abuser has created. Just use this tool to get an ID of the abuser, and keep a record if the person keeps coming back after suspensions, and it is useful if you need to report to the police or an online safety site - example - Netsafe (for New Zealand). Remember to use this tool on someone while their account is active, it won't work on a suspended or a deactivated account.
Find Twitter ID (Code of a ninja)
Pretty much similar to Twitter ID and username converter, except that this is you can only enter a person's username to find the ID of that person. However, you can use this tool to find out exactly or close to when the user created their account, as well as other cool features such as their account placement in Twitter history, and colour codes (which can be useful in tracking Nazi accounts). Be aware that users can change their colour scheme on their profile, however, their placement and creation date cannot be changed. The other cool thing is that this can be used in conjunction with the Twitter ID and username converter tool.
Other tools you can use on Twitter
